Two Killed As Truck Hits Auto-Rickshaw in Faridpur

On Thursday night, two people were killed after a truck hit an auto-rickshaw at Madhukhali Upazila in Faridpur district.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately, reports media.

Locals said a fish-laden truck hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw from behind on the Dhaka-Khulna highway in Arkandi area at around 10:30 pm, leaving one dead on the spot and another critically injured.

The injured was rescued and rushed to Madhukali Upazila Health Complex where he succumbed to his injuries.

Karimpur Highway Police Station officer-in-charge Konkon Kumar Biswas said police recovered the bodies.

Legal steps in this regard are under process, he added.
