Main Congregation of Eid-ul-Azha Held at National Eidgah

The main congregation of the holy Eid-ul-Azha was held at 8 am at the National Eidgah ground adjacent to the High Court.

Chief Justice Hasan Fayez Siddiqui, Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, cabinet members, members of parliament, judges of the Supreme Court and High Court divisions, political leaders, senior government officials and diplomats from various Muslim countries took part in the Eid.

After the two rak'at obligatory prayers of Eid-ul-Azha, prayers and munajat are offered for the welfare, happiness, peace and prosperity of the entire Muslim Ummah and the country and the nation.

Khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Maulana Mufti Ruhul Amin led the main congregation at the National Eidgah under the management of Dhaka South City Corporation.

Worshipers entered the National Eidgah Maidan to join the main congregation of Eid amid tight security.

At the entrance of Eid Jamaat, there was a close surveillance of the law enforcement agencies including RAB and police.  After searching at three places, the law enforcers allowed the worshipers to enter the Eidgah.

Apart from the National Eidgah, a total of 5 congregations were held at the National Mosque Baitul Mukarram. The first congregation was held at 7 am, the second congregation at 8 am, the third congregation at 9 am, the fourth congregation at 10 am and the fifth and last congregation at 10:45 am.

Besides, Eid Jamaat was organized at 7:30 am at South Plaza of Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.  Members of the cabinet, whips of the parliament, members of parliament, officials and employees of the parliamentary secretariat and devotees of the area took part in the prayers.
