4 Killed As Bus Hits Truck on Dhaka-Tangail Highway

Four persons were killed as a bus hit a stationery truck on the Dhaka-Tangail highway early Saturday, reports media.

Another nine were also injured and they were admitted to Kumudini Hoapital in Tangail district.

It was learnt that a bus of 'Binimoy Paribahan' hit a sand-laden truck at Dullya Monsur area in Mirzapur Upazila the district at about 4:30 am.

Four people were killed in the accident. But their identities could not be known yet.

Following the accident, the movement of vehicles towards Dhaka halted for two hours, causing immense sufferings to the commuters. 

Gorai Highway Police Station officer in-charge Mollah Tutul said the vehicular movement on the highway became normal from 6:45 am.
