7 Additional Secretaries Appointed on Deputation

The government has appointed seven senior officials of the rank of additional secretary in the administration to be posted in various departments on deputation.

This information was informed in a notification signed by Abul Basar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman, Deputy Secretary of the Public Administration Ministry on Thursday.

According to the notification, Additional Secretary Tarun Kanti Shikder of the Security Services Division has been appointed as Registrar and Director General of the Directorate of Cooperatives and his job has been assigned to the Department of Rural Development and Cooperatives.

Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Culture Sabiha Parveen has been posted as an executive member of the Dhaka Transport Coordination Authority.

BCS Administration Academy MDS (Additional Secretary) Dr Mo Jahangir Alam has been given the responsibility of Project Director of the Secondary Education Programme.

Bangladesh Jute Corporation Chairman (Additional Secretary) Shashank Shekhar Bhowmik has been posted as a member of the Land Board. Motiar Rahman, Director General of Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division, has been posted as Director General of Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics.

Dr Asma Akhtar Jahan, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, has been appointed as the executive member of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority. And Dr Md Enamul Haque, Additional Secretary of Health Services Department, has been appointed as Director General of the Health Economics Unit and his job has been assigned to Health Services Division.
