The
High Court has announced a ban on taking passengers on the train rooftop. The
court said, henceforth, if any passenger is transported on the rooftop of the
train, the officials in charge will be dismissed.
The
high court bench of Justice Mo Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice Khizir Hayat
commented on this on Thursday (July 21).
The
court said that taking passengers on the rooftop of the train has been declared
closed from today. It has been asked to report by July 31 what steps have been
taken to stop taking passengers on the rooftop of trains and steps taken to
stop black market of tickets. The court will issue a further order on that day.
Meanwhile,
the railway authority has formed a committee to investigate the complaint of
Mohiuddin Roni about the mismanagement of the railway. The railway authorities
informed the High Court bench of Justice Mo Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice
Khizir Hayat.
