Mohiuddin Roni Postpones His Movement

DU student Mohiuddin Roni announced the postponement of the movement after a meeting with the Bangladesh Railway authorities for 4 hours. He had been protesting against the irregularities, corruption, and mismanagement in the railways for several weeks.

On Monday (July 25) at 9:45 PM, Roni spoke to the journalists after the meeting at the Padma Hall of the Bangladesh Railway Building.

He said, with the consent of the railway secretary and DG, I was promised to attend the stakeholder meeting of the Ministry of Railways along with a representative to raise all the irregularities, and mismanagement, and follow up on my 6-point implementation process. Trusting the Prime Minister regarding my 6-point demand and based on the promise of the Secretary and DG of the Ministry of Railways, I am announcing the suspension of the movement for the time being to keep the overall situation of the country normal and to prevent any third party from taking advantage of my agitation to create an unstable situation.

Roni said, but if I see that my demands are not being implemented or are being delayed, then I will return to my movement again. I hope to get the support of anti-corruption patriots and all honest citizens in my movement.
