The
Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) has resumed selling edible oil at Tk
110 a litre to one crore TCB cardholder families from today (August 1).
According to the organization, with the aim of
delivering TCB products (oil, sugar, pulses and onions) to one crore low-income
beneficiary families at subsidized prices, TCB has conducted sales activities
for the month of August across the country including Dhaka city from today.
This
sales activity will be conducted from the dealer's shop or designated permanent
establishment in the City Corporation, district and upazila according to the
date and time plan.
A
consumer can buy a maximum of one kg of sugar and two kg each of oil, lentil
and onion. This sales activity will be conducted only in metropolitan cities
and regional offices in the respective districts.
At
the consumer level, sugar will be sold at Tk 55, oil at Tk 110, pulses at Tk 65
and onion at Tk 20.
