Teacher Couple Found Dead in Private Car in Gazipur

The police recovered the bodies of the missing teacher couple from Tongi area of ​​Gazipur.

Their bodies were recovered from the private car at Nimtali Hyderabad Bridge area on Thursday (August 18) early morning.

The deceased are Ziaur Rahman Mamun, head teacher of Shaheed Smriti School, Tongi and his wife, Jelly Akhter, assistant teacher of Amjad Ali School.

M Miraj, the son of the deceased teacher couple, said that his parents left for the school by car from their house in Kamarjuri area of ​​Tongi. After school, they left for home at 6.20 pm. But since then there was no trace of them.

We searched all night but could not find anything. In the early hours of the morning, the bodies of the teacher couple were found inside the car from the Hyderabad Bridge area. From there, they were first taken to Tayrunnecha Medical College Hospital and later to a hospital in Uttara, where the doctors on duty declared them dead.

Nandlal Chowdhury, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gacha police station in Gazipur city, said that the body has been recovered and a report is being prepared. The process of sending the body to Gazipur Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital for post-mortem is underway.
