Three of a Family Die Due To Electrocution

Three people from the same family were killed by electrocution in Muradnagar, Cumilla.

The accident took place in Elkhal village of Bangra Bazar police station of the upazila on Saturday (August 20) noon.

The deceased are Hosneara Begum (60), Tara Mia (30) and Rifat Hossain (8) of Elkhal village.

Locals said that Rifat Hossain, grandson of Hosneara Begum of Elkhal village, went to pick vegetables in a field near the house at around 1:30 p.m. In that land, a wire of the power line broke and fell on Rifat. His grandmother also got electrocuted while trying to rescue him. At that time, Tara Mia also came to rescue his mother and nephew and he also got electrocuted. They all died on the spot.  

Kamruzzaman Talukder, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bangra Bazar Police Station said, police have been sent to the spot after receiving the information. Necessary measures will be taken after recovering the bodies.
