Two Killed in Lightning Strikes in Sunamganj

Two brothers were killed and another sustained injury after being struck by lightning in Sunamganj district on Tuesday, reports UNB.

The deceased are Khokon Mia and Jhilon Mia, residents of Bekhoijura village under Dharmapasha upazila, said Dharmapasha police station officer-in-charge Mizanur Rahman.

Locals said that the tragedy occurred in the morning when the three brothers went to catch fish in Shaldigha Haor on a boat.

‘Two brothers died on the spot and another was hurt. Locals later recovered the bodies,’ said OC Mizanur.
