Throat-Slit Body of Madrasa Boy Found in Gopalganj

Police on Wednesday recovered the throat-slit body of a madrasa student from Muksudpur Upazila in Gopalganj district.

The deceased was Tamim Mollah, 15, son of Ikram Mollah, a resident of Moddya Bongram village in the Upazila. He was a student of Lohair Darul Ulum Fazil Madrasa, reports media.

Quoting locals, Muksudpur Police Station officer in-charge Khandakar Aminur Rahman said Tamim went out from the house on Tuesday evening and did not return.

Later, locals spotted the body at a banana orchard in the village this morning and informed police.

On information, police recovered the body and took it to the police station.

Legal steps in this regard are under process, the OC added.
