Train Derails again in M'singh, Communications Halted

A train has derailed again at the same rail line in Shambhuganj area of Mymensingh city. As a result, Mymensingh's rail communication with other parts of the country were suspended from Sunday morning, reports media.

The accident occurred at around 9:30 am.

Mymensingh Railway Police sub-inspector Mirza Mohammad Mukta said a cargo compartment of the Chattogram-bound 'Nasirabad Express' train derailed at the rail line this morning.

Following the derailment, Dhaka-bound Haor Express, and Shyamganj and Jaria-bound Balaka Express are remain standing at Mymensingh Railway Station.

However, a rescue team has already started for the spot to remove the derailed compartment, SI Mukta added.

Earlier on Saturday, a compartment of the Dhaka-bound 'Balaka Commuter' train derailed at the same line. Later, the railway communication was restored after two and a half hours.
