Bangladesh Meteorological Department predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by the temporary gusty wind in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am today, reports BSS.

"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Sylhet, Mymensingh and Chattogram divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy falls at isolated places over Rangpur, Sylhet, Mymensingh and Chattogram divisions," said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

The highest temperature on Wednesday was recorded 35.2 degrees Celsius in Tarash, while today's minimum temperature was 21.0 degrees Celsius in Rajarhat.

The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours was recorded 57mm in Feni.

The sun sets at 5:53 pm today and rises at 5:48 am tomorrow in the capital.
