2 Judges Hospitalized Due to Food Poisoning in Rajshahi

A Chief Judicial Magistrate and his wife have been hospitalized after they fell sick due to suspected food poisoning in Rajshahi.

The victims are – Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Jewel Adhikary, 42, and Additional Session Judge Jayanta Rani, 40.

Sources said, the couple lived in a rented house in Rajpara Thana Park intersection area of Rajshahi town.

After having breakfast, they started falling ill on Friday (September 23). Later, they were taken to emergency department of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital and shifted to ICU.

RMCH director Brigadier General Shamim Yeazdani said, Judge Jayanta Rani said that the housemaid would play a role behind the food poisoning.

Rajpara police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Jahangir Alam said, investigation will be started after getting complaint.
