Even
after retirement, Bangladesh Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. Benazir
Ahmed will have two armed policemen for his security purpose. Besides, there
will be the round-the-clock deployment of house guards for the security of his
house.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. Benazir Ahmed is going to retire tomorrow
Friday (September 30).
This
instruction was given in a letter signed by Shafiqul Islam, Senior Assistant
Secretary of the Home Ministry on Wednesday (September 28).
In the
letter, it is said that there will be two full-time bodyguards in uniform with
weapons and escort in 1/6 formation in 1/6 formation in order to provide
security to IGP Dr. Benjir Ahmed during his retirement preparatory leave.
Besides (in-house security) 1/3 formation of the house guards will be deployed round
the clock.
As IGP
Benazir Ahmed retires, he will be replaced by the current Director General of
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun.
