Five Days Vacation for Govt Employees

Government employees can enjoy five days vaction if they take one day leave on Thursday (October 6).

According to the list of public holidays 2022, next Wednesday (October 5) is a general holiday for Durga Puja (Vijaya Dashami) across the country. Although the office is open on the following day, Thursday (October 6), Friday and Saturday (October 7 and 8) are weekends. The next day is Sunday (October 9), a public holiday on the occasion of Eid Miladunnabi. 

If any government employee takes leave on Thursday, he will get five consecutive holidays. If one works on Thursday after the Durga Puja holiday, he/she will get three consecutive holidays. 

Shardia Durga Puja is the biggest religious festival for the people of Hindu community. Durga Puja is being celebrated everywhere in the country.

On the other hand, 12 Rabiul Awal is the anniversary of the birth and the demise of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be upon Him). He was born on this day in 570 AD in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
