Worker Dies Falling Off Under-Construction Building in Capital

A 45-year-old construction worker died after falling from an under-construction building in the Uttara area of the city on Monday, reports UNB.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Ali, son of Jabbar Ali of Mithamoin Upazila of Kishoreganj district.

Sources said Mohammad Ali was working at the 3-storey under-construction building in Sector-9 in the capital's Uttara.

At around 12 pm, he accidentally slipped and fell from the rooftop of the building and was seriously injured.

He was rushed to Kurmitola General Hospital. Later, he was shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital as his condition worsened and doctors declared him dead around 4:30 pm.

Inspector Bachchu Mia, in-charge of DMCH Police Outpost said, the body was kept in the hospital morgue for an autopsy.
