Stating that those involved in the national grid disaster have been identified, State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid said that they will be fired soon.

This was said by the Minister of State for Power in response to reporters' questions after inaugurating the Green Bangladesh Project in Keraniganj on Saturday (October 15) at noon.

Nasrul Hamid said, load shedding is happening in Dhaka and its surrounding areas. Because, after the grid disaster, the power of the western region is not coming to the eastern region. So load shedding has increased, situation will take time to normalize. We had hoped that maybe this month the situation would be normal. But it has not yet been brought under control after the grid disaster. We want to quickly normalize the electricity situation in Dhaka and western areas. We are hopeful that Dhaka and its surrounding areas will be free from load shedding in the next one-two weeks.

The state minister said that oil production has decreased. It is not possible to say whether fuel oil will be available in the future or not. But for now the price is not increasing.

Bandhan Society of Bangladesh founder Seema Hamid spoke as a special guest in the rally held by Keraniganj upazila executive officer Md. Mehdi Hasan.
