Shibli Biswas, Executive President of Khulna Motor Bus Owners Association, said that it has been decided to ply buses on all roads from this Saturday evening.

He did not answer the question whether their demands have been met. However, he said, if there is any damage to the bus during any movement, no one pays for it, the owner has to compenste by himself, so we usually halt the bus plying during this time.

Yesterday and today, all types of buses were stopped in Khulna ahead of the divisional assembly of BNP in Khulna. This decision was taken jointly in the discussion meeting of leaders and workers of Khulna District Bus-Minibus Owners Association and Khulna Motor Sramik Union on the night of October 18.

According to District Bus Owners and Workers Union sources, more than 300 buses ply on 18 routes from Khulna. As a result of the decision of the owners and workers union to stop the bus movement, no bus left or entered Khulna for these two days.

General Secretary of Khulna Motor Sramik Union Zakir Hossain told the media that we are following the decision of the owners. Bus service has started from evening on all routes.
