Myanmar has officially expressed regret for the impact of the last two months of conflict on Bangladesh. At the same time, Myanmar's Border Guard Police (BGP) and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have agreed to prevent border infiltration and drug smuggling.

After the meeting that lasted for about 5 and a half hours, the head of the delegation of Bangladesh said these things, the captain of the BGB, Lieutenant Colonel Sheikh Khalid Iftekhar.

The meeting between the delegations of the two countries started in the conference room of BGB 'Southan Point' at around 10 o'clock in the morning on Sunday at Shahpari island in Teknaf on the border near Nafand. It ends around 3:30 pm.

Earlier, the Myanmar delegation arrived at Shahpari Island Jetty wharf in two speedboats around 9 am.

Lieutenant Colonel Sheikh Khalid Mohammad Iftekhar, the commander of BGB's Teknaf 2 Battalion, said that several discussions were held, including important issues and recent issues between BGB-BGP between the two countries.
