Jhenaidah Municipality Newly Elected Mayor-Councillors' Reception Held

The newly elected Mayor and Councillors of Jhenaidah Municipality were felicitated by Municipal Model College. On Saturday (November 5) afternoon, a program was organized on this occasion in the municipal square. On this occasion, the HSC candidates of the Municipal Model College bid farewell, and the new students were welcomed.

Nasser Shahrear Zahedee, chairman of Radiant Group and executive director of Zahedee Foundation, was the chief guest at the reception.

Jhenaidah Municipal Model College principal Moniruzzaman presided over the reception and special guests included district Awami League general secretary former municipal mayor Saidul Karim Mintu, newly elected mayor Quayum Shahrear Zahedee Hijol, former principal of Jhenaidah Government KC College Md. Moniruzzaman, and former principal of Jhenaidah Government KC College Md. Shahidul Islam, Mayor of the Panel Saiful Islam Madhu spoke to the program. 

Newly elected members of Jhenaidah Zilla Parishad, Mostakim Monir, municipal councillor, college teaching officer, journalists, civil society members, and people of various classes and professions were also present. A wonderful cultural program was organized after the reception.

Md Nasser Shahrear Zahedee, the chief guest at the event, said that you have elected Hijol as the mayor with the expectation, I will give you all possible support to achieve that goal. I promise to develop Jhenaidah Municipality as 'Tilottama City'.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Radiant Group announced a financial contribution of 5 crores for the construction of the municipal college's academic building. He stated, "I will try to transform Jhenaidah municipality into a modern, clean, traffic-free, and drug-free model municipality suitable for the next generation by meeting citizens' expectations."
