Rangpur City Polls on 27 Dec

The Election Commission (EC) has announced the official schedule of the Rangpur City Corporation Election. The polls will be held in this city on December 27.

The last day for filing nominations in this election is November 29. Nomination papers will be selected on December 1. The last date for withdrawal of nomination papers is December 8.

Today, Sunday (November 7), the Secretary of the Election Commission Secretariat Md Jahangir Alam announced the schedule at Agargaon in the capital.

EC Secretary Md Jahangir Alam said that in the Rangpur City Corporation elections, votes will be taken through EVMs. Voting will continue continuously from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Besides, CCTV cameras will be installed in polling stations.

Meanwhile, EC Joint Secretary Election Training Institute (ETI) Director General Abdul Baten has been given the duty of Returning Officer in the Rangpur City Election.
