A three-day-long Nabanna festival
has started in Jhenaidah to introduce folk culture to the new generation.
A festive procession was taken out in front of the Priya cinema hall on Wednesday afternoon (November 16) organized by Bihongo Jhenaidah and in collaboration with Radiant Pharmaceuticals Limited. The procession passed through various streets of the city and ended at Jhenaidah Central Shaheed Minar square.
Before the rally, a dress-up
competition was organized with the participation of children. Children
participate in competitions by dressing up as farmers, blacksmiths and potters.
At the same time, local pitha festival is also arranged. The main attraction of
the day-long event was the stick game. Bihongo general secretary Shahinur Alam
Liton said that this event is to introduce rural ambience to the new generation.
In the evening, the three-day
main program started. Sadar Upazila Chairman Advocate Abdur Rashid was present
there as the chief guest. Bangladesh Group Theater Federation's Khulna
Divisional President Nazim Uddin Julius, Vice President of Bihongo Isahak Ali were
present as special guests.

firstly thanked Radiant Pharmaceuticals for sponsoring such a special event.
She said that this festival will
continue till November 18. Various types of pithas, pies, and patties with fresh
rice flour have been prepared to introduce the new generation with folk and
lost traditions.
