Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Khandker Golam Faruq said that Sheikh Hasina is the most at risk among all the big political leaders in the world.

He said this in response to questions from reporters after inspecting the security arrangements before the 22nd National Council of Awami League at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital on Friday (December 23).

DMP Commissioner said, the prime minister is always in danger. Sheikh Hasina is the most at risk among the world's major political leaders. The defeated powers of the 1970s repeatedly tried to terminate her life. Many incidents including grenade attack, bomb attack in Tungipara took place on 21 August. Keeping these issues in mind, the security system has been beefed up.

He said, we have deployed our force with great importance for tomorrow's security. All of us including our SB-RAB have put security measures at this venue. Archways and CCTV cameras have been installed at each gate. Apart from this, all around sweeping, manual sweeping will be done by our dog squad. Police Members will be engaged in plain clothes. In a word, we have kept flawless security arrangements, so that Awami League can complete the council in a festive atmosphere.

In response to a question, the DMP Commissioner said, "I don't think there is any specific threat to law and order. Not even from the militants' side, we have already managed to arrest many of the accomplices of the two militants who are on the run. We would quickly arrest the rest. "

Regarding rumors on social media, Khandkar Golam Faruq said, there is a system to monitor social media. We have Cyber Crime Unit in DB, Cyber Unit in CTTC. Other organizations also have social media monitoring systems. Hope spreading rumors on social media will not create any unrest.

The 22nd Council of Bangladesh Awami League is going to be held tomorrow Saturday (December 24) at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital. Party President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will attend it. Also, lakhs of activists will come from all over the country.
