A man died and several others were injured in a clash between police and BNP men in Panchagarh this afternoon, BNP claimed.
Assistant Sub-Inspector Shahnaz Akter, duty officer of Panchagarh Sadar Police Station, said the clash took place around 2:00pm and was continuing till 4:45pm when this report was filed.
The party leaders said they identified the deceased as Abdur Rashid Arfin, former convenor of Moynadighi union under Boda upazila's BNP unit.
A duty doctor of Adhunik Sadar Hospital in Panchagarh told the media that "Several injured were taken to the hospital following a clash and one of them died."_Agencies
