A coach of Mymensingh Express has derailed. The coach of the express train derailed while leaving Mymensingh Railway Junction Station for Chattogram.
The incident took place in the Balashpur area in Mymensingh city at around 7:30 am on Monday.
In this, Mymensingh-Bhairab, Mymensingh-Gouripur, and Mymensingh-Mohanganj-Jaria trains are stopped. However, loco-shed workers have started working.
Earlier, the same train derailed in the Balashpur area on September 18 and December 11 and 17.
Narayan Prasad Sarkar, an assistant executive engineer of Mymensingh Railway, said that the same compartment of the train derailed “four times” in a year. It is clear that there is a problem with the compartment.
Besides, Mymensingh railway traffic inspector Md. Shaheenul Islam said that two wheels of the coach derailed around 7:35 am. Earlier, the train was booked for repairs at the factory after it derailed on December 17. The train had a problem with the trolley of the compartment. For this, it was being sent for repairs to Pahartali in Chattomgram, but the train derailed again on the way.
