29 Lakh SIMs Left Dhaka in 2 Days

People with some 2900923 mobile connections left Dhaka on April 19 and 20, as holidaymakers are travelling to their homes to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr.

Telecom Minister Mustafa Jabbar disclosed the information at a post on his verified Facebook account on Thursday (April 20).

On April 18, people with 12.28 SIMs left Dhaka while 16.72 lakh SIM users left the capital on April 19.

However, people with 6.32 lakh SIMs entered Dhaka on April 19.

Basically, the government employees started leaving Dhaka on April 18 as government holidays were given by executive order on April 20 after Shab-e-Qadr holiday.
