The residence of Bangladesh ambassador to Sudan Tarek Ahmed came under attack recently, forcing Tarek to move to a safe place.

Bullets from machine guns hit the ambassador’s residence in Khartoum on April 15, the initial days of the conflicts that began between Sudan’s military and paramilitary forces.

The ambassador is now staying in Madani town of Jajira province.

Meanwhile, the government has decided to bring Bangladesh citizens back from the war-torn Sudan.

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam made this disclosure in a social media post on his Facebook page on Tuesday afternoon.

Shahriar Alam said the process to bring back Bangladeshi citizens living in Sudan has started with the help of another country and the Bangladesh mission in Khartoum has already started spreading this message among the Bangladeshis there.
