Uninterrupted Gas- Electricity to Supply after Mocha: State Min

State Minister for Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid said that when the situation is normal after cyclone Mocha uninterrupted supply of gas and electricity will be provided.

Nasrul Hamid posted this on his verified Facebook page on Saturday night.

He said that due to the impact of Cyclone Mocha, gas supply from two floating LNG terminals in Maheshkhali has been stopped. Naturally, the production of several gas-fired power plants is partially on and off. As a result, an uninterrupted power supply is not possible in many parts of the country including Dhaka. We sincerely apologize for this unintended inconvenience.

He also said that gas supply and gas-based power plants will be launched at full capacity by re-establishing the floating terminals as soon as the inclement weather is over. Wishing everyone health and safety in this disaster.
