DIG Mahbub Made New Police Commissioner of Gazipur

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Md. Mahbub Alam has been appointed as the new commissioner of the Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP).

The Public Security Division of the Home Ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard on Wednesday.

This order will be effective as of Wednesday, the notification added.

Mahbub joined the police service as Assistant Superintendent of Police on January 25, 1999.

He was promoted to DIG in May of last year.
