Two Killed in Tangail Road Accident

Two people were killed and four others injured in a collision between a bus and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Dhanbari upazila of the district today, reports BSS.

The deceased were identified as CNG driver Wazed Mia, 42, and Halim, 32. Both were the residents of Jamalpur district.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dhanbari Thana Edris Ali said the accident occurred this morning in Chattarkandi area on Tangail-Jamalpur Highway here.

Wazed and Halim succumbed to their injuries at Dhanbari Upazila Health Complex, he added.

Among the injured, three were sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.

"Bodies were handed over to their respective family members," the OC said, adding that police seized both the vehicles.
