Amid the ongoing fuel crisis, Mother Vessel MV Jador, a coal-laden ship, has arrived at Payra port in Patuakhali.
The third ship leaving Indonesia’s Balik Papan port anchored near the inner channel of the port with 36,600 metric tons of coal on Wednesday (July 5).
Azizur Rahman, deputy director of the Traffic Division at Payra Port, confirmed the news.
Earlier, another two ships named Mother Vessel MV Pavo Brave and Mother Vessel MV Athena arrived at Payra port in Patuakhali with about 78,000 metric tons of coal.
Noted that a unit of the country’s largest ultra-supercritical power plant was shut down due to a fuel crisis on May 25. After 10 days, on June 5 at noon, the production of the power plant was completely stopped.
