A turbine problem has prevented the Rampal thermal power plant in Bagerhat from producing power for the past three days.

To resume power production, turbine repair work is currently in full swing.

According to plant officials, production and power supply can be restarted after repair within a few days.

According to Deputy General Manager (DGM) Md Anwarul Azim, the issue has prevented power production from starting since last Sunday.

India Heavy Electricals Ltd. engineers are currently fixing the turbine.

Earlier, from June 30 to July 9 for maintenance work, power generating was halted. Then, on July 10, it was inaugurated.

But on July 16, a failing turbine caused the national grid's electricity delivery to stop after six days.

Even before this, the Rampal coal-based thermal power plant had been shut down on numerous occasions due to maintenance issues and other issues, including mechanical issues.
