Numerous areas of the nation have been dealing with persistently heavy rain over the past few days.

Because of the continued precipitation, this has caused unanticipated flooding in several locations, raising worries about the increased risk of landslides.

On the other hand, the movement of passenger ships on five southern routes has been halted as a result of the low pressure in the Bay of Bengal.

On the 16-kilometer section of the Marishya Dighinala road in the Baghaichari upazila of Rangamati, a landslide occurred on Sunday.

Numerous automobiles were left stuck on both sides of the road as a consequence. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

In Chittagong, the district government began evicting the occupants of 800 unlawful tent homes from the hillocks of nine dangerous hills on Sunday against the backdrop of torrential downpours.

In order to prevent potential fatalities from landslides from the Motizorna, Bijoynagar Zeel, Beltoligona, and Battali hill regions, the eviction team also restricted the provision of electricity and water to the residences during the drive.

In this regard, two refuge centers were created in various parts of the city.

In Bandarban, at least two people have been injured in a landslide on Sunday. Several houses were damaged in many areas of the district.
