PM Confers Bangamata Begum Fazilatun Nesha Mujib Padak-2023

Four well-known ladies and the national women's football team received copies of the Bangamata Begum Fazilatun Nesha Mujib Padak-2023 from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today.

The prize was presented by the premier during a ceremony organized by the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs and held in the Osmani Memorial auditorium of the city.

The award ceremony took place on the same day as Bangamata Begum Fazilatun Nesha Mujib, the wife of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, celebrated her 93rd birthday.

In addition to the national women's football team for sports, Dr. Senjuti Saha for research, Nasima Jaman Bobi for education, culture, and sports, Anima Mukti Gomes for sports, and Advocate Sahara Khatun (Posthumous) for politics are the other four recipients of the women's award.

Nazma Mobarek, the State Ministry for Women and Children Affairs' secretary, said the greeting when she was sat in the chair.

Jatiyo Mohila Sangstha Chairman Begum Chemon Ara Tayab delivered a keynote speech based on the life and work of Bangamata in addition to taking part as a discussant. Professor Tania Huq teaches in the Women and Gender Studies department of the University of Dhaka.

The national women's football team's captain, Sabina Khatun, spoke on their behalf.

First broadcast was an audio-visual documentary on Bangamata's life and achievements.

Each year, up to five women are recognized for their efforts in eight various fields in recognition of Bangamata's contribution.

The national women's football team and four other notable women were previously nominated for this year's prize by the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs in recognition of their achievements to the nation's politics, education, culture, sports, and research.

In the function, the premier also inaugurated the financial donation and sewing machine distribution program. A total of 4,500 sewing machines are being distributed in 64 districts while Taka 2,000 is being given among 3,000 destitute women.
