A teenage boy was fatally stabbed on Thursday night in the city's Uttara district.

The dead was identified as Limon, an 18-year-old local inhabitant.

Md. Bachchu Mia, the head of the police station of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), verified the incident.

Md Lyon, one of Limon's friends, reported that at around 7:30 p.m., Limon and five friends took a stroll along Road 9 in Sector 5.

Suddenly, 18-year-old Obaidul, one of his buddies, got into a fight with Limon. Limon was gravely hurt when Obaidul, Mominul, and Shahjalal returned to the scene after leaving. They attacked Limon with a barrage of stabs.

After being taken to a neighboring hospital, he was then moved to the emergency room of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where staff members pronounced him dead at about 10 o'clock in the evening.
