Dhaka-Mymensingh Rail Route Resumes after 18 Hours

After the rail line was repaired, train connection on the Dhaka-Mymensingh route was restored about 8:30 am on Monday.

Alamgir Hossain, the station master of Fatema Nagar Railway Station, stated that "the rail line's connection has been interrupted for more than 11 hours. Around 8:30 am, the queue was cleared. A five-person committee has been established to investigate the event.

On Sunday night in Trishal upazila, three bogies of the "Agnibina Express" train off the track close to Fatema Nagar station. The Dhaka-Mymensingh train link was shut down as a result of the accident starting at 8:45 p.m.

Mohonganj Express, Jamuna Express and Brahmaputra Express have been stranded at Mymensingh Junction and Goforgaon's Moshakhali stations since 2am on Monday.

"After the derailment, the train went to about 400 meters. Due to huge damage, it took time to repair the railway line," said Mymensingh Railway assistant executive engineer Md Akram Ali.
