Two College Students Killed in Road Accident

A vehicle struck and killed a motorcyclist and his passenger on Monday night on the Akhtaruzzaman Flyover in the Khulshi Police Station area of the Chattogram district.

The deceased were identified as Al Imran Efti, 23, a resident of the Chakaria upazila in Cox's Bazar and a native of the Darogar Hat neighborhood of Sadar upazila. He was the son of Yunus Molla. At Chattogram Government City College, both were enrolled.

Quoting locals, Khulsi Police Station Santosh Kumar Chakma said the accident occurred around 10:30 pm when Efti lost control over the steering of the bike and hit a truck from its behind, leaving the duo critically injured.

They were rushed to Chattogram Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctors declared them dead on arrival, he added.
