Magnitude 3.5 Earthquake Hits Sylhet

A little earthquake that occurred in several parts of the Sylhet region on Tuesday afternoon.

The 3.5-magnitude earthquake, which was detected about 1:13 pm, barely lasted a few seconds, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.

The epicenter was 18 kilometers away in the Sylhet district's Jaintiapur Upazila, according to the report.

A resident of the city's Lalbazar area named Kamrul Islam said that the earthquake lasted for a few seconds and sparked terror among the inhabitants.

However, no injuries were reported.
