Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to hold talks with his Bangladeshi counterpart, Sheikh Hasina, at the G-20 summit, reports the Hindustan Times.

However, Modi has plans to hold meetings not only with Sheikh Hasina but also with American President Joe Biden on Friday evening (September 8) and with French President Emmanuel Macron on Sunday (September 10).

It is clear that Modi is planning to host a dinner and a luncheon for these two leaders. However, this arrangement depends on Biden's arrival in India. Additionally, after the G-20 conference, Macron is expected to visit Dhaka.

India is chairing the G-20 conference, which is scheduled to take place in New Delhi on September 8, 9, and 10.

In this year's G-20 conference, discussions will focus on the war in Ukraine and its global economic implications. Additionally, Modi aims to shift the focus southward at this conference.

A 2021 UN report found that the global pandemic has had the greatest impact on the South. Therefore, one of the aims of this conference is to use the tag 'Sustainable Development Goals in the Sustainable South'.
