French President Emmanuel Macron is coming to Bangladesh on September 10. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will welcome him at the airport.

This information was provided in a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday (September 5).

It is said that French President Emmanuel Macron will visit Bangladesh on September 10 at the invitation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. During the visit, President Macron will pay tribute to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at 32 Dhanmondi, meet with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the Prime Minister's Office, and attend a banquet organized in honor of the French President. The two leaders are expected to sign bilateral agreements and attend a joint press briefing.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will welcome the President of France at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, and Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen is expected to bid him farewell.

Earlier, on Monday (September 4), a Facebook post from the French Embassy in Dhaka confirmed the fact that President Emmanuel Macron will go to Delhi on September 9 to attend the G-20 summit. From there, he will come to Dhaka on September 10 on a bilateral visit.

The last time, in 1990, the then-president of France, Francois Mitterrand, visited Bangladesh. After that, no other president of the country came to Bangladesh.
