Hasina-Macron Meeting Begins

French President Emmanuel Macron is meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The meeting began on Monday (September 11th) morning at the Prime Minister's office.

Earlier, at 10:20 AM, President Macron arrived at the Prime Minister's office and was warmly welcomed by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina with a flower bouquet at Tiger Gate. Later, they sat down for bilateral and one-on-one talks.

During the meeting, several bilateral agreements between France and Bangladesh are expected to be signed. It is hoped that at the end of the agreements, both leaders will hold a joint press conference.

Before this, President Macron paid his respects to the father of the nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, by offering flowers at his portrait.

Prior to this, Macron arrived in Dhaka on a two-day visit on Sunday. He landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 8 PM. At that time, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina extended her greetings to the President of France. Subsequently, a guard of honor was presented to Macron by the armed forces, and both countries' national anthems were played.
