Govt Promotes 270 Officials to Senior Assistant Secretaries

Promotion to the Senior Scale (Senior Assistant Secretary) position has been granted to 270 officers in the Bangladesh Civil Service Administration Cadre. This information was disclosed through two separate notices published on the Ministry of Public Administration's website yesterday (Wednesday, September 13).

It is stated in these notices that under the Bangladesh Civil Service (Administration) Cadre, 268 officers have been promoted to the Senior Scale in accordance with the Bangladesh Civil Service Recruitment Rules, 1981, Article 5(b).

Furthermore, it is mentioned that all the promoted officers will send their joining letters to the Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration (Email: [email protected]) and will remain at their current duty stations until further orders are issued.

It is emphasized that these officers have not received promotion orders due to educational leave or liens. Promotion orders will be issued after their return to the Ministry of Public Administration from their educational leave/lien.

As a result of this promotion, they will now receive the National Pay Scale 2015 at the sixth grade. The basic salary for this grade starts at BDT 35,500 and goes up to BDT 67,110, with opportunities for incremental increases.
