US Doesn't Interfere In Others' Geopolitical Affairs: Haas

The United States never interferes in the geopolitical affairs of others. US Ambassador to Dhaka Peter Haas said that the country's goal is to implement human rights, UN and international programs.

He said this in a seminar organized on the occasion of International Peace Day at North South University on Thursday (September 21).

Meanwhile, Peter Haas once again urged for free, fair, and peaceful elections in Bangladesh.

The US ambassador requested the government to ensure the freedom of the media saying that the United States is working to solve the problem of Bangladesh.

Peter Haas said that the Biden administration is working on several issues, including repatriation and sanctions on Myanmar to deal with the Rohingya crisis. A concerted effort is needed to overcome the crisis.

He also urged the youth to stop rumors and maintain peace on social media.
