A ship named 'Baro Aulia' left for the coral island of Saint Martin with 517 tourists. The tourist ship departed from Damdamiya Jetty in Teknaf around 10 a.m. on Wednesday. The ship will reach the island after 12 pm noon.

Tourists flocked to the jetty on Wednesday morning. At that time Coast Guard, Naval Police, and BIWTA officials were in charge of supervision.

Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) Chittagong Deputy Director (Acting) Officer Nayan Sheel said that we are monitoring so that no ship can carry extra passengers. On the first day, the ship 'Baro Awlia' left for St. Martin with 517 passengers. This ship has a capacity of 850 passengers.

Amir Hamza, a student of Dhaka University who came for the trip, said I have come to St. Martin's Coral Island for the second time, I feel very happy. We have 20 people in our team.

Hossainul Islam Bahadur, senior vice president of the Tour Operators Association, Cox's Bazar (TOAC), said that our ship left for Saint Martin with 517 tourists on the first day with permission from the District Commissioner. The sea environment appeared to be calm.

In this regard, Teknaf Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mohammad Adnan Chowdhury said that on Wednesday morning, more than 500 travelers left for Saint Martin Island by the tourist ship. With the permission of the authorities, these ships have resumed operation on an experimental basis. Measures have been taken to ensure that tourists do not face any problems.

The last time a tourist ship operated the Teknaf-Saint-Martin route was in mid-March. At that time, Keari Sindbad, Keari Cruise & Dine, Atlantic, Shahid Abdus Salam, MV Parizat, MV Raj Hongsho, Sukanto Babu, MV Bay Cruises and MV Baro Auliya were sailing from Teknaf-St.Martin. However, a day ago, an observation team from the district administration made a test visit to the island by ship Baro Auliya.
