US Assistant Secretary Of State For Consular Affairs In Dhaka

US Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs, Rena Bitter, has embarked on a two-day official visit to Bangladesh, focusing on discussions related to consular matters with government officials.

Prior to her arrival in Dhaka, Bitter visited Islamabad and Karachi in Pakistan. During her stay, she will engage with embassy and consulate personnel, gaining insights into consular operations, as stated by the US Department of State.

The spokesperson at the US Department of State emphasized that her visit underscores the United States' enduring commitment to safeguarding its citizens abroad and facilitating lawful travel and immigration to the country.
