Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen said that China will always stay with Bangladesh in critical situations.

He said that Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had a meeting with our President Xi Jinping on August 23. China announced there that China will support Bangladesh with 3.5 million dollars in the fight against dengue. We have today given the first tranche of this support to the minister's institution. More to come next week. I would like to repeat that China will always stand by Bangladesh in this critical situation.

He said these things at the ceremony of handing over 700 sets of dengue test kits at Private Enam Medical in Savar at around 12 noon on Wednesday (October 11).

Ambassador Yao Wen said, we are friends. We were always there for each other. Whenever there is a crisis, China stands beside Bangladesh. China helped Bangladesh during the Covid-19 pandemic three years ago. Bangladesh is currently going through a bad dengue situation. So China must do something for them. That is why we have provided this device. It can be used to test for dengue. To improve the situation.

Without mentioning the name of the United States, he said, some people are vigilant about democracy, human rights and elections. But on the other hand imposing bans and visa bans. But China never did this. China has always supported the people of Bangladesh. The people of China and Bangladesh are working for the development through friendly relations. China has always cooperated in health and economy of Bangladesh.

Earlier, in a written statement, he said that there is a severe dengue situation in Bangladesh. Many have been died. Doctors and health workers are working hard for months after dengue patients. China has always acted as a friend and strategic partner of Bangladesh. As always, this time too, China is by Bangladesh's side in this critical moment. President Xi Jinping met Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in Johannesburg in August. The President emphasized on cooperation with Bangladesh there. President Xi Jinping and the Chinese government are concerned about the dengue situation in Bangladesh. For this, China will give 3.5 million to Bangladesh.

Following this, the Chinese Embassy has given 700 sets of dengue kits to Enam Medical College Hospital. With which more than 18 thousand people can be tested for dengue. China will send more dengue test kits next week.

On the occasion State Minister for Disaster and Relief Dr. Enamur Rahman, First Secretary of China Embassy in Bangladesh Li Jian, Lang Lang and Jing Chan, Chief Executive Officer of Enam Medical College Hospital Anwarul Quader Nazim and other hospital officials were present.
