No Threat Centering Durga Puja: DMP Commissioner

Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Habibur Rahman said there is no specific threat centering Durga Puja on Thursday (October 19).

Yet, the DMP is prepared to deal with any situations, he said after inspecting the security arrangement at Dhakeshwari Temple in Dhaka.

"We have also taken up security plans, keeping in mind the upcoming election," he said replying to a query.

The city police chief said everyone has to strive so that the immersion of idols can be completed within a certain time, without any problem.

Member of River Police have been put on alert too, he added.
