Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal said that the expected favorable environment for the polls has not been achieved yet.

Today, Thursday (October 26), he spoke with media editors on the topic 'Twelfth National Parliament Election: Role of Media, Expectations of the Nation'.

CEC said, 'I invited BNP for discussion. They did not respond.'

He also said, 'Our point is that the sincere environment should become favorable. For this reason, I have been calling everyone, and have held a dialogue. I have given semi-official letters to those who do not want to come to the polls. But I did not get a response.'

The Chief Election Commissioner said, 'Political strategies of political parties are their own business. They may have their own strategies. We will not practice injustice in him.'
