A policeman Killed in Clash With BNP

A policeman was killed in a clash with BNP leaders and activists in the capital. Dhaka Medical College Hospital police outpost in-charge Bachchu Mia confirmed this news to the media on Saturday (October 28).

But the name of the slain policeman was not immediately known.

Bachchu Mia said, "the deceased policeman was injured in a clash with BNP leaders and activists while on duty in Dainik Bangla More area. Later police and passers-by brought him from there. It’s reported the injured police member was hit on the head. Doctors declared him dead at 4:15 pm.

Earlier BNP was supposed to hold a rally in Nayapaltan today at noon. At one stage of the clash with the police, the BNP activists were removed from there. At this time BNP leaders and activists sporadically clashed with the police in different areas.
